When it comes to things like yoga, people often tend to assume that you can only ever end up doing it as part of a class once all has been said and is now out of the way. The reason behind this is that doing yoga on your own is not going to be all that easy, and taking a class can potentially make you feel a great deal more motivated than might have been the case otherwise. However, there is a limit to how many classes you should end up taking if you think about it.
After all, at a certain point you will have learned all that you need to know from YTT Yoga School in order to practice yoga on your own with a relatively high level of safety. In our opinion, you generally would not have to practice yoga at a school for longer than six months. After six months of going to a yoga school, you will have a really firm grasp on all of the concepts that are important to you, and as if that wasn’t already enough you would know about the various things that would be required of you in order to avoid injury as well.
There are plenty of advantages of going to a yoga school, but going to one for longer than you need to will just be a waste of money. The best kind of yoga school will teach you things that will become ingrained in your mind, and this is something that you should try your best to think about as well as you get better at the practice of yoga and work towards independence.
