WS3 – Color Code| Understanding of hair color: making, science and chemistry
Where: Mico, Blue Room 2 - When: Sept, 30th 10.30/12.30
An interactive workshop based on frontal lessons and on a tactile and visual experience on textures to investigate the complex topic of hair color from different points of view.

Content and Objectives:
- Examining the 3 different types of hair color products: permanent, semi-permanent and “make-  up”colors.
- Discussing the 3 types of hair color products in terms of raw material composition, cosmetic properties, mode of action, mode of application, advantages and limits regarding color results on hair, for the consumers and the for the hairdressers.
- Exploring new hair color products on the market and discussing them in terms of novelty and effectiveness.
- Analyzing some hair swatches application of these products and touching new textures.

M. Fabbi-
Head of R&D Hair Color Development, Alfaparf Group
Massimo Fabbi was born in Mantova, Italy, and received his PhD Degree (1993) in analytical/organic chemistry at the University of Parma.
After his PhD, he spent two years as analytical chemist and in 1996 he joined a fine-chemicals company, 3V-SIGMA S.p.A. (Bergamo), as head of the analytical research group and head of the applicative laboratories. After fourteen years in this role, he joined ALFAPARF GROUP, where he is still in charge of hair color development, as R&D supervisor of fourteen researchers and formulators.
