GUIDELINES for poster authors

Guidelines for Poster Paper 

Authors whose abstract is accepted for poster presentation have to send a manuscript (PDF) of the poster. The manuscript should not exceed 5,000 words and can include illustrations, charts and tables. 
All presented materials should be clear from the use of any commercial or trade names of chemicals in which case INCI names should be used. The mentioning of trade names of equipment used is allowed unless the intention of the presentation is to promote the use of equipment.
The presence of the trade name in the poster or in the presentation could be object of refusal by the Scientific Committee.

Guidelines for Poster

1) Format & Design Poster
• All posters must be written entirely in English
• Text must be easy to read at a 1.5 m distance
• Handwritten posters are not accepted
• Posters must be printed on the poster template (see the attached file in pdf and in ppt file)
• You must include your poster number in the designated field of the template. The poster number will be communicated by the Organizing Secretariat at the end of July. 
• Authors must make sure that their posters will have the A0 format (841 x 1189 mm) 
• A poster printed on 1 large sheet is encouraged
• Paper recommendation: paper material not more than 200 gsm (g/m2)
• Poster must be printed by yourself

2) Schedule

Deadline Poster: 30 September 2019 
Posters have to be delivered on-site at the organiser´s office or at the registration desk.
Posters will be hanged up by the organizer.
All poster authors are invited to collect their posters the 2nd October not before 4 pm. 
Posters not collected after the conference will be disposed



MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
for podium paper


The full paper/manuscript must be submitted by no later than 30 June 2019, with no exceptions.
The Presenting Author must register and pay the Special Rate of € 864,00 within 30 August 2019
Each author whose paper is accepted to be presented at the Conference must certify that the paper is original and has not been published before and will not be published until after the Conference. If, however, the paper submitted has been published before presentation at the Congress, information regarding where and when the paper was published must be provided. The author has the further responsibility for confirming entitlement to present the work submitted.
The paper must be submitted in the form of a PDF file. File up to 2.1 Mb are allowed.
We will not perform any type of Editing, and therefore the paper will be uploaded in the USB device the same way as it is received.
In the Final Program of the Conference will be indicated titles and authors of all papers; no manuscript will be printed.
The papers must be submitted through the website www.ifscc2019.com. Authors are required to enter in their personal area, click on “Submit your Manuscript” and upload the file. 
We recommend to upload one file at a time by clicking “add” after each upload.
The manuscript should not exceed 5,000 words, be in English, A4 format, including title, main body of the paper, illustrations, charts and tables. Arial 10 point font and single spacing should be used. No trade names are permitted.
We recommend to upload images no larger than 1000 pixels (72 dpi)
Title of the paper: in Arial 12 point BOLD font. The title should coincide with the title of the approved abstract.
Authors: Surname, First Name and initial of the second name should be indicated, using a comma
to separate the Surname from the Name/Names. Further authors must be separated by a semicolon. First author should be the one who will deliver the paper, underlining Surname and Name. We would appreciate it if this order is followed so the indexation work will be facilitated
Neither titles nor honours should be included.
All authors must be indicated in the full manuscript.
Affiliations: Each author should be listed with one or more institutions. For each institution, identified with a number, include city, state/province.
Use this number as a superscript to the right of the name of each author.
Key words: Use four key words which may allow adequate allocation of the paper.
Introduction: The paper must start with a short introduction which must describe the background
for the research and the purposes and objectives.
Methodology: This part must include the most relevant details of the experimental material,
employed methods, instruments and applied statistical methodologies.
Conclusions: A concise section which summarizes the main achievements of the research.
Acknowledgments: The acknowledgment of colleagues and other persons related to the research
is encouraged.
References / Bibliography: All the references must be quoted numerically, in the order in which
they appear in the script. This must be done in between square brackets [1]
The references must include, in this order, the surname and initials of all the authors, the complete
title of the quoted reference, the name of the publication in italics, the number of the volume in
bold type, the year (in between brackets), the month of the publication of the paper, and the first
and last pages of the paper separated by a hyphen.
Trade marks: The references to common chemicals or commercial derivatives must be made using IUPAC, U.S.P., N.F. or INCI Nomenclature. No trademarks are accepted except for the case that it defines the quality of the product, in which case it must be mentioned behind the scientific/technical name in between of brackets.
The presence of the commercial name in the poster or in the presentation could be object of refusal by the Scientific Committee.
Official language: All the papers must be written in English which is the official language of the
IFSCC and its publication. This language must be used consistently in the whole text, graphs, figures
and tables. The only exception is the use of references where the original form of writing
independently of the language can be used to ease the search of this particular paper.
